Welcome to explore Särestö and do your own art work inspired by Reidar Särestöniemi. Art workshop available in spring 2024 at 15.00 o’clock on: 22.2., 29.2., 7.3., 14.3., 28.3. & 4.4.2024 We start te tour in Särestö with our own guide introducing the home, life and art of famous local painter Reidar Särestöniemi (1925-1981). In his childhood home you hear and learn how life was back in the days in this area and beautiful logwood gallery you’ll see his remarkable artwork. After the guided tour you’ll have a chance to do your own art in guided art workshop! Technique used in workshop is soft pastel painting. You may be inspired about the atmosphere and nature of Särestö, Reidar Särestöniemi’s art or a theme close to you; your power animal, favorite landscape or your own portrait. You’ll get the ready work with you when you are ready. Please note program is mainly in Finnish but we’ll translate in English and do our best to make you feel comfortable with us! Program lasts app 2 hours and is suitable for all ages and is a fun way to spend afternoon with local history, art and nature. Price of the trip_ Adults 35€, kids (7-15v) 10€ (With Museumcard 25€/10€). Price includes tickets to museum, guided tour and art workshop. Available for your own group on request.
