A women-only, five-day skijoring adventure in Finnish Lapland for a maximum of 4 guests. Skijoring means skiing together with a husky: you wear a waist belt connected to your own dog and to a Norwegian Fjellpulken pulk, so you share the work as one team while your husky helps pull the load. The retreat runs from Wednesday evening to Sunday. The first two nights are spent in a cosy cabin near Äkäslompolo, with a full day of lessons and practice: harness fitting, voice commands and skiing with the pulk. On day three we ski away from the main trails to a more remote cabin, our home for two nights, and explore the surrounding forests, frozen lakes and open fells. On Sunday we ski back together, finishing between 11:00 and 13:00. All meals (vegetarian, with vegan and gluten-free options), all equipment and transfers from Äkäslompolo or Kittilä Airport are included. Some skiing experience is needed. Guided by Ciara and Susi, who live in Äkäslompolo year-round with their huskies. Departures in January and March 2028; payment plans are available on request.
